Deputy Hook’em is a Southern California law enforcement officer who is also a social media influencer, rap artist known by the alias Forensic, podcast host and law enforcement advocate. Deputy Hook’em became a law enforcement officer in 2012 and comes from a family lineage of public service. Since 2015, Deputy Hook’em has been making social media content in an effort to humanize the badge. Through creative means including comedy videos, rap music and public events, Deputy Hook’em has made it a mission to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the communities they serve by showing that police officers are human. 

The social media adventure began on Vine when Deputy Hook'em and his real life academy mate, Deputy Book'em, paired up to make the funniest cop duo the internet has seen: Hook'em and Book'em. Together, they have made content with such influencers as: Officers Daniels, Mike The Cop, Trailer Trash Tammy, Ross Smith, Vinnie Montez, Officer Smith and more. Their videos have been seen tens of millions of times, they have amassed hundreds of thousands of followers on social media and have been featured on TV shows and News channels across the country. 

Deputy Hook’em is currently a board member for the non-profit Humanizing the Badge as well as the head of the Advisory Board for the non-profit organization Cover Now. Humanizing the Badge stands to forge stronger relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve while Cover Now’s mission is to provide financial assistance to officers critically injured in the line of duty as well as the families of law enforcement officers left behind after suicide. Deputy Hook’em’s personal ambitions include being an outspoken advocate for our nation’s law enforcement officers during a time when they have been vilified at every turn. 

Through the years, Deputy Hook’em has been honored to meet with members of law enforcement, from Chiefs and Sheriffs to beat cops, from all over the country to discuss the issues at hand within the profession as well as give them support and motivation to keep protecting their communities. Hook’em looks forward to continuing his mission of supporting those behind the badge, highlighting the great work that they do, and bridging the gap between cops and community.
